hi

I'm trying to repair my 5mw green laser
it stop working so i disassembly it, i resold what seems to need it but now i've to reassemble it and after many tries i didn't work correctly.

- i've 3 pins on the laser diode

the problem is that one solder is broken:


could someone give me an idea please
i've tried so many thins that didn't work :cryyy:

It might be that the driver is powering the laser diode just fine, but perhaps the optics in the brass housing are not converting the output of the laser diode into green. Can you detect any IR using a cheap webcam or camera phone? Don't point laser at the phone. Shine it at a paper and look at the paper with the digital camera to see if you see IR.

It might also be that the driver is bad or the diode was damaged.

It is hard to say for sure.
