And the problem with heatsink: laser metal housing became hot after burning out. So bigger heatsink won't help?

i suggest you that buy the lpc-826 in cajunlasers.com it cost $11 (the same as ebay) and cajunlasers send from USA the only lpc-826 that i can find in ebay sends from china

ebay :) because there is cheapest. So what about resistance measuring?

I have a lot big heatsinks at home. The problem is that laser housing doesn't take over heat fast. When my laser diode died, housing was just warm and little later it became hot. What to do?

belive me you need a big heatsink and if you use the lensses that come in your module maybe you cant get enough power (maybe that is the reasson because you cant burn) if you want to burn get an aixiz module and the lensses i put you, and drill a hole in a big heatsink (if you have a big heatsink you can give 450 to 500ma without damage the diode)

Why my lenses could be without enough power? They focus beam into very small dot. So if I put my housing into big heatsink it won't die?

you have an universal acrylic lensses (minor power) if you want have the max power of your diode you need lensses for your wavelenght(i already send you the link)

it can die but you can have a large duty cicle? and you can give it more current

No not necessarily. Depending on the current he is pumping through the diode its not 100% needed. The module he is using has a decent mass and wouldn't surprise me if it could take a LPC-826 at 450ma for a solid minute. That being said It always helps. He will get longer run times but hes on a budget. Burning is the most logical thing to do on his budget. If he HAS to burn he should save "his" money to buy proper safety glasses and also a good setup for parts. Skimping out on parts will lead to error. That's my word of advice. Buy from Cajun lasers, Clif ships extremely fast and his prices are the best. I've spent and easy $250-300 at his shop.
