Hey guys, i just bought a red 200mw laser from yourlaser for 27$
It worked for a couple of hours and then the laser became very weak, yourlasers gave me a refund and i still have the laser with me.
I wanted to know if i could use it somehow or repair it or do anything with it instead of throwing it.
any help please?

The laser diode has been led'ed, u can replace it with a $7 O-like Laser diode lpc-815 that would last about 1000+ hours at that current which i suppose is 300~350mA in the stock driver.
If u dont know how to replace the diode , read through certain tutorials, use search button for that.

Looking at their 27$ish lasers they are almost all set for 100mW, so swapping with a LPC diode should be no problem, if it is accessible in the host you have. Like offroadfreak said, some pics would probably help a lot. What duty cycle did you run your laser at?

EDIT: Just noticed that it is a 200mW that you bought. If the diode is accessible and changeable then you might be better off to swap it for a LPC826 instead of the LPC815. The 826 can output a bit more power and as such should last longer at currents below degeneration threshold.
