You are too funny. Please do not work with any hot wire installations, OK?

Peace,
dave
Or any kind of installations for that matter.

Lying down indefinetly to prevent any kind of personal injury and loss of property (not just your own) is highly advisable.

Hey I am basically following this tutorial
Random How To: DIY- How To Make A Burning Laser The Right Way!

Will it work in the end? :D I collected all items needed except the capacitors which I ordered from ebay.

Would laser work without capacitor?

Also is there a way to test laser without building all that scheme? Or will it burn if I connect it to my 9V battery? Oh and if I glued a LD to aixiz module head, and it's not perfectly facing stright to the lense, but super glue is arround + and - wires on LD, thats not a big deal right?

I'd throw it away, and get another hobby.

Good luck!!

uhh, you are the most negative person I saw, but ok I will just finish it and see myself if it works.

I never read about using super glue for anything. I never read anything that told me I could leave out components and it will still work. I never read that its OK to hook up a bare diode to a battery.

Dude if you cant follow simple instructions on how to build this, then what am I going to tell you? Think about it.

Here is my advice. Read all the info you can that has to do with your project. Then follow each step to the letter. Deviate in any direction and your wasting your time and money. Its really just that simple.

Lol

I only have a sticky note, a paintbrush, a nine volt battery and a Christmas tree light bulb. If I leave out the sticky note will it still lase? What if I throw in some super glue, it should melt steel then right?

Your driver is Linear step down current regulator, figure it out Electrician man.
BTW, It's Ampere, not Ampre.

Also, swearing and posting profanities on the forum has a chance of getting yourself banned if continued against the warning.
How do you like your warning? Hot and crispy?

Sorry , but you do it to yourself. Here's what you just said:

I am a journeyman electrician but I cannot figure out how to replace a bad battery pack.

I'm a speech teacher and I can figure it out

Use a 9-12v wallwart. Or any 3 3.7v rechargeable batteries. DX sells those type batteries.

EDIT: I know, what a stupid question from an electrician.

ROFL yes, I am.

An electrician does not know how to replace a battery, thats pretty funny.

Hey, did I tell you all that I am a pilot? Do any of you know the best way to start a plane?
