What else would I need?

I wanted to make a burning red laser, so I was going to buy one of these, and one of these. I know I need a soldering tool, and for the price, this seemed like a good deal. So besides these things, what else would I need? A good (hopefully inexpensive) housing?

Sorry for the specificness, thanks!

don't use cold heat trust me it uses and electrical current to create the heat this will kill the diode. all you would need is some flux, a good say 15W-30W soldering iron and any box style casing will do. also you need batteries preferably 6 rechargable aaa batteries

Thanks,
Mitch

And are there any glasses under $100 that protect against both red and green lasers?

I have heard thta the cold heat soldering irons have very brittle tips... graphite or something.

Brittle tips.. you can say that again i had one of those and it worked okay, it was still such a pain trying to get the solder and wire and everything to make contact with both sides then after i figured it out and it was working sorta okay the tip broke for no reason at all... 2 days after i got it!! so i took it apart and guess what.. its batterys hooked straight to the tip nothing else at all only other thing in there was an led...

I prefer a butane soldering iron 50 times over, just get a good one with a metel tank and it will last for years, i found one that 10 years old, it got used almost every day and it still works great, it was even completely full after sitting in storage 10 years.

As for the goggles there are goggles like that but it would be cheaper just to buy seperate ones for green and red.

...lazer... ;D ;D ;D

I prefer electric ones.

Mine is a 40+ year old hexacon 40watt electric with a ~1mm tip.

Though I have used a few nice weller stations in my day, I am not sure they are as good as they used to be before cooper bought them out.

Right now I would need red protective glasses, my green is only 30mW< and I let one of my tard friends (I didn't realize he was THIS dumb) see the laser, and he looked straight into it, and his eyesight it ok. Plus I would need to save up a little, I plan to buy everything at once. Thanks for the offer though.
