But a DX200 wont be very accurate in pointing strait, unless you adjust where the dot is pointing.

From what I can see the smaller version measures 25mm, while the 200mw red measures only 18mm....what could I use to hold it in position?

Ps:accuracy is not an issue here because this won't be used during an airsoft game (risking to point a 200mw in someone's eyes it's too dangerous), it'll be displayed only during a cosplay skit to show the beam itself pointing in a safe direction.

Just ordered 2 set of these (1 for the laser and 1 for the flashlight) http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4772 and a couple CR" rechargeables for my DX 200mw red, now I must only wait 1+ month to get them :

Have you looked at the LaserMax rail mounted Lasers? They come in 635nm or 532nm.
