i was excited to hear about the new mitsubishi 635 diodes especially after reading some data on how bright they could be driven. i had been eyeing jayrob's stainless rl-118 host and thought this would go great with the 635 diode.
i decided on an 800ma current and a copper heat sink. got my diode from dtr and it arrived quick quick.
jay does some fine work on his kits and i had no trouble putting all together.
someone said this diode makes a 445 look single mode.
they were right!
the beam kinda sucks but i have grown to love it.
i really have to buy a camera. here's some pix with my blackberry. the blue laser is a 445 at 350mw. it blends with the 635 nice
