Hello

Here I'll show a typical russian chiller for a lamp-pumped 250W YAG laser. The tank is filled with distilled water that is pumped into the water jacket of the YAG rod with the pump on top of the tank, and through the coils of tubes cold water from the tap flows to take away heat from the first loop. The second loop can be closed too in case you use a big fridge to cool down water in it. This unit is capable of taking away 5 kW of heat. Continiously.

And yes, this is a great laser. It would be cool to make 200W of green ot of this amount of IR))) Or 50W of red. +rep

This is probably what I'd need but to construct one for my laser I'd have to know needed pressure and flow rate - no idea how to figure that out. By the way, I remember you from your high power arc lamp pumped laser collection - do you have some spare optics for high power yag laser (and maybe a nice long LBO) that you that you'd be willing to sell?

AFAIK, I've got several mirrors for 1064nm, HRs and OCs. Do you know what reflectivity do you need for an OC? I have some with t=16%, 20% and probably 25%. Also I've got OCs with t=50% and 70%, but these are for pulsed lasers.

PS: the flow rate in the first loop is 25 liters per minute or something like that.

Well, hr should be sturdy enough to withstand such amount of power and OC for high power cw lasers is usually about 20% R so that would probably work fine. I hope rod wont self destruct if oc is a bit more reflective than it should
