You say you focused it yourself, if it's focused to burn, it will in fact burn, but your beam will diverge very quickly after the focal point. Do you possibly have it focused to burn? That would explain the burns/no beam thing...

yes, Iremember that but it was months ago and I had no time to try connecting it to DDL I was busy w/ school, but now I took that laser and dissassebled it cuz I bought some 18650 batteries( before that it was ran by flexdrive and 3 aaas) cuz I thought fexdrive was f'cked up. So this time I used DDL and new batts and calculated current(didnt use dummy) but no beam again

You didn't answer the question

Didn't you like the answers you got before?

Go back and re-read your other thread. This discussion is the same.

He says he has a small dot and in fact got indignant when someone suggested that he may not understand focus.

Peace,

Ok, I have the senkat 16x lcc red diode. First it was driven by fexdrive 5 set @ 350mA. It was burning stuff well but there was no beam at all... So I thought something is wrong w/ fexdrive or my dummyload and I made one DDL driver w/ pot set at 3,8ohms what would correspond to about 330 mA. Also measured mV w/ dummyload and it was something about 300. Hooked my diode(which is in heavy and large heatsink, so heat is no problem) to driver and ran it by 2x18650 at full charge. Guess what? No bloody beam not even in total dark... So if anyone knows what could be causing this problem, I would be grateful for any kind of help. TY

that is way too much voltage for your driver. your driver is probably fried now. and by the way you need smoke, fog or a lot of mw's to see a red beam.

I think he is trying to have us pwNd....

Any Noob knows it takes particulate matter (ie Smoke) in the air to see
a Laser's beam...

omfg are you all so retarded or what??? Can you read? My driver is not fried its DDL not fexdrive and dont think im stupid or smthing. also beam should be visible w/o smoke cuz I can see 5mw green very well and this ting should be at least that visible. Also problem is not in my eyes cuz I had LOC 20x diode(dead now) and I could see beam of that. So the only thing possible is that diode is lowerpowered/defective. And Im sick of those stupid idiots, who look at my post count and think that I dont know that i need to focus to infinity to see the beam, or that I fried DDL driver with 12V, or those who think Im so stupid so I cant see difference between red and infrared diode ffs..............

!st of all, im very sure people on lps dont like being called "retarded"! There are alot of very smart people here and calling them retarded would be a big mistake. 2ndly, yes you "should" be able to see the beam but its not "clear" unless you have fog or like laserbee said "particulate matter" like smoke or dust. If the only thing possible is your diode is dead then the only obvious thing to do is mabye replace it or chuck into the nearest waste bin if your not gonna fix it... Also how do we know your not blind? I dont know your medical history so it was just a suggestion. I have done nothing but try to help along with other members!

If you are going to just flame us then you should not ask for help!

Later,
jeff

(Can you post anything more idiotic)

Perhaps getting a Fog machine or a more powerful Laser will
help you achieve your beam fantasy....

That should do it

That might be acceptable on one of your gaming forums, but it is not acceptable here

Op = troll

Wasn't sure if it was a very very clueless n00b or a troll. Guess I didn't see that one post where he blatantly insulted a person. Dave, no less!
