i found a red 500mw laser pointer at focalprice..sold at 225 dollars. !!!!focusable... ;D

i don't know if the power is TRUE.....but i think in the RED diodes there are few fakes. then.. the price is good.... not too cheap to be possible........
it appears to be like the skylasers handheld laser....http://www.skylasers.net/portable-lasers/red-650nm/400mw-red-portable-laser-650nm.html
seems to be the same!but sky... have only a max 400mw.(maybe averaging more)so...focalprice... could have a true 400..... :eek:

The future Dilda would preferably be priced under $100. Otherwise, we know we can get a better product from our forum builders. :cool:

Ive been sourcing a really inexpensive 225+- mw build and least expensive I can figure out is $37.38 (inc diode, driver, push button clicky host and cr123 batt)

500mw, seems like i havent been seeing diodes that will do that much output

who has red 500mw diodes inexpensive?

its no problem at all to get 500 mw to 1 watt red diodes.
Sadly the are only available in a cmount packadge or in some cases a 9 mm diode packadge

well theres 'available' and 'inexpensive', two diff things

500mw to 1 watt red laser diodes in 9mm diode package less than say, $60 ?

i read that the laser could be infrared... at 808nm... :-?.......

You can easily get 5W C-mounts from Ebay...
