hi everybody
i'm trying to make a red laser pointer from a 20x dvd burner diode and reading lots of posts here but, i just received a red laser driver from o-like.com and there is no instructions with it and i wonder how to wire it correctly.
it is this one : 200mW red laser diode driver / constant current /current adjusta [OLRDB-200] - $3.89 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

i made some closer pics of both faces :

- on the "pot face" i guess "gnd" is the batteries negative but the batteries + goes to "V+" or to "VCC" ?
- on the other face and on the right, : the point marked "LD" with a hole in it is the same on the pot face. but is it for the diode neg or the diode pos ?

can someone help ?
thanks a lot.
and sorry for my poor english (french)

I am 99% sure that power supply input is GND (-) and +V (+).

The LD is wired to VCC (+) and LD (-).

I would wait for someone to confirm my assumptions though.....

I would contact o like for support. Unfortunately, lots of the cheap drivers I have tried tend to fail, but if you get it working, let me know.!!

Hi, I have the same driver as you currently powering my first host-circuited red.

The driver connections are as I've detailed in the attached picture, and the pin diagram is for most red laser diodes, I believe, at least this one is correct for my Rohm LD as well as the "LPC 815".

When mounting mine, I soldered the LD +ve and -ve pins to the corresponding driver LD connections on the side of the driver board. The side that has both LD +ve and -ve on it.

The third pin (not used) I soldered to the sole LD- connection on the other side of the driver board.

In this driver board, the LD -ve is common with the Power -ve.
