Hey everyone.

So I got my Mitsubishi 500mW diode in today. Gotta say, I am slightly not impressed. Here is my PIV curve:

So it doesn't look too good. It seems the "knee" is at around 1.2A - my last data point was at 1.24A.

So is that typical? I was only seeing a max of 590mW (through an Aixiz red lens) at that current. Is that typical?

thats pretty low, mine was making 614mW at 1050mA

I am feeding mine with 1.4A but don't have an LPM, sorry. Next major purchase I think...

So I finally decided to build this. Stuck it at 1.4A, getting about 640mW out I think. So yeah, probably just weak A dud.

AMC7135 x4. I've seen others set theirs at 1.4A before, so I am not too worried.

You can use the G-2 I sent you with these. It is coated for 400-600nm and works very well with the 635's.

Also I just had some very promising results with the 9mm 445 lens with a 300mW 635 as well. See what you get as a difference between the G-2 and the 9mm 445 lens on that 500mW 635.

Kewl I'm interested in the results too.. I havent got the barrels for the 9mm445 leses yet so all I have is the G2's to work with.

Right, I never did post these.

But I got 720mW with a standard aixiz and about 920mW with both of the other lenses. But they were pretty dirty =p

Allmost 1W of 635! That's great I have been waiting for a Phobos host to put mine in. my lenses are bad dirty too.. I need tips on how to clean lenses...
