^So there you go.. sorry if I misunderstood your last post. Seemed like you were brushing off everyone's suggestions, but if you've got it figured out I'm happy for you. Let us know how it goes!

It's not just you, EF. I gave up on him a couple of days ago ;)

Peace,

Situation might be difficult if somebody wants something so much that doesn´t exist! But of course I appreciate your support guys! ;)

I really want a higher powered 635 too, but not enough to get off of my wallet for one (unlike my dpss 594 lol). I really, really like the idea of it, because I'm fairly convinced that a higher powered 635 would look very orange. Even LG describes the Orion HV as "reddish orange" rather than red.

It's the same thing as yellow lasers. A weak one looks orange, but if you put some power behind it, it looks yellow. I'll bet 635 does the same thing.

You're totally welcome! ;)

I'm just going to go ahead and chalk this one up to a language issue..

sounds like 640nm might bite your noodle. here's a viable option from DL (a reputable company, manufactured by CNI): Red Handheld Laser ----- 640nm Laser ----- Spartan Series Lasers :: Handheld Lasers :: Dragon Lasers

The color is close to what you're looking for, the price is in-between, and the power is in-between. (when I say 'in-between', I mean between the Atlasnova 5mW and the LG Orion HV 200mW [which is usually a LOT more powerful than that]). If that's a bit pricey, try contacting CNI either directly (for a single-order), or ask Glenn to get a quote in his GB. LG's Orion-HV is manufactured by CNI, so you could practically get the same thing (minus engravings and testing, etc.) but in a lesser power (CNI's site says 5-300mW IIRC) for a lot less than $1000. If neither of those options seem to bite, search around for other 640nm's (I've heard that they're really closer to 638nm, and there's a big 'luck of the draw' factor... somebody got a 50mW CNI at 629nm [TESTED])

hope this helped!

Are you insinuating that CNI has 640nm pens, or just in the fat host?

DJNY, let us know -- this sounds interesting if it's actually anywhere near 30mW. I know Aixiz sells 10mW 635 modules, but 30 of 635 in a pen host would be pretty interesting. Maybe if it goes well these folks would be willing to give us a price break on a group buy.

Of course! They already sent the package via Fedex, I give you some first impressions when I hold it in my hand. A review is following at the end of this month (when my LPM arrives).

I can tell you NOW I'm in for that GB if these things are legit! :D

They shipped it last Friday (5.2.) and it arrived today in the morning (8.2.). Nice!
I´ll do some tests in the evening, compared to a 50mW red and the 200mW dilda. Due some cam-shots I can better tell if it is really near 635nm.

First pic of the 635nm compared to a 650nm. You can see a lil difference to from the right (635nm) to the left (650nm) dot. I ordered a diffaction grating to test it more detailed.

Camera probably won't do the 635 vs 650nm difference much justice. Not the same sensitivity curve as the eye; both will look white-to-red. Visually, can you describe how it looks compared to a Dilda? i.e., "more orange", "brighter", etc?
