Looking for 5mw infrared 940nm laser

Hello,

I am looking for a 5mw laser with a wavelength of 940nm. I am also looking for a tiny IR reflective mirror and a second mirror that is two-way. The reason being that I want to combine both lasers into the same beam (each focused independently).

My reason for doing so is that I have a wii remote I use as a IR camera for a touchscreen (google if you haven't hear of it) and want to use an IR pointer. I want to combine the beam with a visible red that way I can see where I am pointing the IR. (The concept is that I'll have two buttons on the laser, one for the red, and another for "click" with the IR).

I looked at aixis but they don't have any 940nm. I want 940 as this has been experimentally proven by others to be the most sensitive wavelength to the IR camera on the wiimote. Or if anyone knows of a dual IR/visible pen I can buy without having to build one that would be great.

Thanks for any suggestions.

good hello, 940nm isn't a common diode laser wavelength.
the closest common wavelength available in 5.6mm is 808 and 980nm!

there are some dual wavelength diodes but the ones ive seen are 650 & 780nm: here

Bummer. I wasn't looking for a dual wavelength diode (I couldn't focus them both at the same time...?), I was looking for a laser already built with two diodes.

Bummer... I'll go with an 880 or a 980 as these seem the most readily available wavelengths that the IR camera is most sensitive to. I don't really want to try an 808...

If anyone does find a 940 somewhere, let me know. I'd appreciate it!

I stopped reading after a question posted on the forum included a Google reference to others who might have a question about this post. Kinda like help me, but I won't help you.

Great first post.

Thanks! :D

It just comes from Googling a question I have only to find that the person associated with the subject doesn't have time for the person asking. Generally, on the forums I belong, the poster is as willing to share as they are to ask for help. This just rubbed me the wrong way- first post or post 4,000.
