Hello everybody,

I just sort of got interested in lasers and decided to get one. I would prefer green one, since the beam is more clearly visible and would therefore be easier to point at stars and I like beam being visible etc., but on the other hand I am fascinated with burning potential of lasers.

After some research I found that red lasers are cheaper per mW, than others, so I decided to start with them. Specifically something in neighbourhood of 200-300mW and with price tag of 50 bucks (€).

Otherwise I like blue ones at around 1W a lot as well, but prices for a 1st stronger laser are kind of steep. So far I only had <5mW company presentation pens.

2 I had in mind are:

Actually prefer such classic design, to huge light saber handle type...
New special Burning 250mW red laser torch/focusable [OL-RT-250] - $36.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

or

www.rayfoss.com

or. is this one worth adding few douzens of dollars?

New Arrival 405nm 300mW Violet laser torch /Focusable/Burning [OL-NVL-300] - $69.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Any other ideas are also welcome...

TNX and bye

If i were you id start off by reading the yellow link in my signature. its a good place for new members to start off and learn about lasers as well as has a list of trusted companies and sellers who are members of this community. id never buy from rayfoss but thats me, everyone is different but if you buy from rayfoss dont expect your lasers to arrive on or even over spec

Hmzz well,

First i would join a laser forum and do some reading before i post.
Perhaps look up a few Video's on YT.

I would then have read that one shouldn't go for 405nm if you want the brightness of green and the burning power of red.

If i would have made a choise......... Hmzzzz .......

I would pick the first one out of the 3 for burning. (but i'm not into burning myself really)
And then a non listed green for brightness. (i would go for a green visable and focusable pointer)

After i made a choise i would have looked into some safety glasses, and be sure to read ''what not to do with lasers 007''

Then i would come back with a post and share my review of it.

TNX and bye.

Is your search function broken on your site? Pretty sure two respected members told you to do some research before posting questions and whats the first thing you do.......post a laser and a question. It is not our job to sit here and spoon feed you information, you need to search for it.

I did all the research before posting the 1st post. I know what i want. My question is only regarding specific model, and your opinion of it. So fari didn't get any overwhelmingly useful answers. Only general info link which i read long ago...
