First Red Build

Hello.

After two years of procrastinating, a blown flexdrive, backwards diode press at 2:00am; a couple friends and I finally got a working laser. It’s powered at 365ma using a flexdrive a powerlight b50 host.

Thanks to daguin and scumbag(lol) for their friendly support on the flexdrive.

I had the flexdrive working and I soldered the diode onto the board and put the host together. Turned it on... nothing. I felt like dying lol. Then I realized I'm sure I’m shorting the driver out on the host or something. So I put a layer of electrical tape around it and sure enough. It turned on. Although it may have turned on the first time but my safety glasses deleted the dot from my vision.

I am extremely happy that it works

Ps.. I didn't use any smoke/spray/particle emitter for any of the pictures. Thats why i'm so happy haha

I have a 405 in my B50. I love this little host. Nice build!

It's nice to finally build one. Thanks! I used another similar build as inspiration.
