ok i just got my lpc815 sled and theres 2 diodes with 3 pins and the top of the diode is covered by the heatsink for both too, which one is which before i start nipping away at the heatsink




update: i just killed the diode prolly from using the dremel

Welcome to the club! I believe I did the same...but the damn thing just was not coming out using my pliers and wire cutters. I only buy removed diodes or pre-installed from now on!

I use two pairs of pliers one on each end and slightly twist the heatsink, diode pops free in seconds and easily. There is an old thread on this process where many members added their own ideas for safe extraction, thread also has pictures of where diode is in sled.
