is it me or is drama getting more n more boring on here..

It always has been. However, with over 5600 members from 10-70 years old, and from all over the world, there's bound to be some drama.

IMNHO the knowledge to be gained here is worth putting up with a bit of drama

I know that this is going to come as a huge shock to most of you, but even I get cranky when I'm not feeling well :p

Peace,
dave

Compared to some of the other websites I'm on, the drama here is almost non existent. You would be surprised how much hate there is among Mustang owners and the rest of the car world, and if you REALLY want some drama, try going to a German shepherd forum populated largely by menopausal women. :-X

Hello i am 14 and think I am responsible enough to handle this laser without hurting or damaging anyone’s eyes. If I got it I wouldn’t let any of my friends use it without understanding the true power of it. I want it for Christmas and my mom said its fine but after she looked it up she said no but I tried to convince her and she is reconsidering it again. What are some things I should say or point her out that would make her be ok with me owning this laser

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance, Drew
You can tell her you're a grown man for your age.... She'd probably know that better that you do, but I think it's worth trying. Well, there is laws you must follow, and the law is guite general. Not every kid at 14 is acting or as responsible as a 14 year old. Some are more or less "grown" for ones age. My advice to you is to wait till you are older / old enough. The lasers are then cheaper at this power, or you can get one much more powerful at the same price - when that time comes. In the mean time, you can buy a cheap 20x DVD burner for your PC, and a mini Mag Lite, and you have a x-hundered mW 650nm red laser for less than 50 bucks.

Yeah i also had some "problems" with my parents to get a laser. I explained them what it was and its dangers, but when they saw me reading a lot of information and buying the goggles before the laser, they allowed me to buy it (when I was 16)
By the time i've had no problems with it.

BTW i already had experiece playing with dangerous products such as acids for PCB etching and that, and i'm really worried about safety (wearing goggles, gloves and all that stuff)
