Is this driver right for me?

Hello,

having 4 diodes extracted out of some dvd-burners.
some of them are infra red, one is looking very heavy and one of them could be perfect

having a diode driver for a 300mw ir diode (from old green laser)

i am able to use this for my red diode?

Doubt it mate, you cant be sure the current is the same as needed by the red diode.

Buy a driver specifically for IR/red.

Also, be very careful with a IR laser.

when its IR i have goggles that prevents it from damaging my eyes.. just when it's red im lost but i think thats not soo bad because im really careful with lasers anyway - thank u

as i tried to put the driver onto the diode first i noticed that the driver do not pass for the diode pin out (looked at some similar diode from an german trusted shop) and so i decided to let it
