I wonder how welll they would work with 3.6 V(like a 18650) guess you would need buck driver ??
I got three coming too. Hope everybody will post thier findings in this thread.

Thanks for the heads-up +rep

Ill be using the following host with a single 10440 cell and my LM1117 driver:

$3.60 - MXDL XT-7119 3W 50-Lumen LED Flashlight with Clip (Color Assorted/1*AAA) - Other LED Lights

I ordered 3 also.

Will this be at all distinguishable from, say, a LOC running at like 25mW ?

I have a dead single AAA green keychain laserside momentary button.. maybe a 10440 and one of those 3$ smd drivers? it has twinkle star efx gratings on the lens. not much room for HSing tho.

You should get them a day before me.

He is a Nice guy i was talking to him alittle.

He asked me what iam going to use them for and I told Him Laser Pointers.:)

His reply was I thought People use them for replacement in Optical Drives.:p

I have not got mine yet but I am looking forward to adding another wavelength to my collection. Does anybody know what these were originally used for?

Wow. that's tough. I'd go 473 next, and 589 after that. I can see 473@50mW just fine.. That's not cheap, but its cheaper than a lot of other things.

My "10mW" 589 from CNI wasn't cheap, but it ended up being more like "100mW".

473 and 589 are available in pointers; Things like 561, 671, and others, are not.

473 really is unique in a lot of ways and if you've only seen 445 and 532, I think you'll like it. And it's certainly available in pointer factors; and through GBs and some of Laserglow's holiday sales (probably wont see one for another year) -- they're potentially within reach...

Shortly after that of course is 589...

I usually go for the PGL-III-C form factor though unfotunately...

you could make 637nm and 642nm pointers add two more wavelengths to that list :)

^Cool. Those 3$ Aixiz Drivers i think can only go down to 80mA. According to there site ....

You can easily lower the current limiter ..... or changing the two 5.6ohm resistors with, like, 15 ohm ones, or changing the 10Kohm reference divider resistor (i think is marked R3 and is connected directly to the trimmer)

Awesome do you know what input voltage they take

I see. It just looks like in there Low setting it states 80mA to 250mA.

OK Great Thanks for clearing that up.

I have some coming to me i will report back.:)
