I run my personal red up there too. However, we're a long way from being NooBs with this AND we can replace a diode in a few minutes, and probably have a "spare" on hand just in case 
For someone to recommend to someone who has to ask about the current that they run it from 440mA-600mA is just irresponsible (or plain mean)
