Alright, I just got the laser that had the blown driver back fixed and running. IT is an LOC running 360mW with a large heatsink. Diode didn't have a problem as I thought! Guess I got lucky?

Wow, now I have 2 of these beasts!
One looks to be running with a 555 timer on the board. IT is a larger lab build psu and has a
green indicator light. input is 6-15vdc at 1A

Good thing the diode survived, it seems pretty strong. What kind of lens are you using to get 360mW with a LOC diode?

I am using a AR glass lens in the new housing and old housing. Both units are running ~420mA in at ~3.5v using the new driver. These LOCs are wicked sick and built strong! Yes I am using a big heatsink!

As I stated earlier the driver I got had a faulty regulator and passed too much current into the xmfr and diodes. all smoked. Diode and casing get warm but not in the new heatsink.
I was powering the 6x bluray with 8.4v into the new driver last night, works for both 808nm, red and blu-ray modules up to 12x. Driver monitors voltage and input current at the same time.
New driver is a lab driver up to 500mA out 2.5-5v out and 6-15v in at 1.5A.
