Possible new aixiz 405/445 glass lens

So, I'm not sure if this is true or not, but in hakzaws thread about new aixiz 1W drivers and lenses, he said that the lenses i ordered this past tuesday, and received friday, may in fact be the "new lenses"

So I did some tests. I have 3 lenses, 2 new, and 1 old. I am about 90% positive that lens "C" is my old one, but I got two mixed up, and i was going by how deeply threaded the thread tape was on the lenses, so therefore, it very well may, be lens "B" but I don't think so.

These tests were in my A140-445- Saik host/kit from Mohrenberg.

Battery- IMR 26650- 4.16v off my DMM
Lens A- "New" llll 1,792mW llll 3/8 in. x 1/16 in. llll 12 ft. distance
Lens B- "New" llll 1,720mW llll 3/8 in. x 1/8 in. llll Same^^^
Lens C- "old" llll 1,612mW llll 3/8 in. x 1/8 in. llll Same^^^

The focusing was done to the best of my ability with all 3 lenses at 12 feet.

I doubt every lens is the same, but as you can see, one lens did much better than the other two on power. So, maybe soon, we can get a confirmed "new lens" from aixiz, at the same price, that has a little better power, and maybe, a little better divergence. Which I do not know how to calculate divergence, I'm sure there's an easy math equation out there for it, I'm just some what lazy. And the 3/8 x 1/16in is longest side of the rectangle beam (obviously) x the small side.

I also noticed a slight "artifact" on the left side of each lens I have, barely noticable, just a slight spot coming off of the long axis, and on my "old" lens, it was slightly more noticeable.

Hopefully we got new lenses. I have some o-like half threaded ones on the way, and a new 405-g-1, so we'll see how each compare.

This is in a guidesman, m-140 diode being driven at 1.75A by a lazeerer x-drive.

I tested the same laser ~7 minutes later with my o-like half threaded lens...



Max- 1785mW

I love the o-like half threaded lens, because it has the same nice clean output of a "aixiz style" lens, and mine had a 140mW increase in power.

So what I'm saying is, that if you do not have any o-like 405/445 lenses, then grab a couple and do some testing yourself... You might really enjoy them

so lens A is definitely one of their new ones?

Yes, I know lens A is a new one for sure, but once again, I do not know if it is what aixiz is calling a new lens, because I am sure every lens is different, and it could still be their "old" style lens, just a really good one

I am also Not 100% sure that i got the New Lens or not But mine also came in Static bag with no Brown like candy raper around them.

The "New" Ones i got on the Right have a More Purple tint to them then the old witch was Like a Golden Tint. But I will have to wait until tomorrow to check outside in the sunlight to be sure this is true.

I see No Difference in Power.

This could be that I HAVE THE OLD LENS AND NOT THE NEW ONES.

RayFoss sells them already for a little over a week now cant remember exactly. I just thought it was a marketing thing:

But i would much rather get them from Aixiz. As if you think about it you have to pay for shipping so when buying 2x lens for 10$ from RayFoss add another 6$ for shipping plus 2 Weeks or more to get them.

Aixiz on the Other hand you will have them in 3 days and great service.:gj:

I will wait until Haqzaws Says they are selling the New ones and order some more and see if there is a difference between the 2 in the picture above and the next ones i will order.

yeah, i agree lazeerer, hopefully hak will check out this thread, and ask them to protect the lenses better. In my initial post I was wrong, I just checked my lens' and it's my NEW one that has the splash on the side.

From What I was told ..as soon as the newest version of this glass lens came in they no longer sent out any of the previous versions.The 10 I picked up were each wrapped in a brown wax paper and rolled in a white paper with 5 in each. I sent links to these threads and have no doubt that AixiZ will try to take more care with how they are wrapped for shippping.

Hopefully They will look into the cleanliness of the Lenses that are shipping out , and not just individually wrapping Them. I would have included pictures, but I had already cleaned Them before I thought to get the camera out.:yabbem:

I had a couple of the new Rayfoss lenses shipped via Fedex, and hopefully will get a chance to test them tonight.

Anyone who has ordered but not received AixiZ glass lenses for blue/BR diodes will be getting the newest and, best so far, version.
If you recently received lenses from AixiZ you may need to contact AixiZ to find out if your order was filled before the new lenses were in stock.

Get combined shipping on your AixiZ supplies by ordering all you need at the same time. Add a note to your order that you are from LPF and request combined shipping rates.

These are exactly how I get the lenses I sell. 5 per roll. I have to break them up when people want odd amounts. And it also explains why people were saying my lenses seemed to out perform aixiz lenses by a small margin. My guess is that either the manufacturer these come from optimised their coatings a bit, and aixiz just had to work through their old stock before they started to sell the new ones, or they just up and switched to the same chinese source I use.

and BTW, i'm still cheaper! and ship from the US as well.

I saw the older lenses at AixiZ and AixiZ did not ship any of the older versions after getting the new ones..

I have no idea what you are talking about hak, or what your intentions/notions are, has anybody said one bad thing about aixiz in this thread? What are you talking about spam? Is it not fair that I test a lens from qumefox also? I mean i've already tested 3 aixiz lenses, and ordered two more from them, asking in the notes for the "new lens" If available, and also, for rolled in paper, if available. I'm not sure who or what said what to lead you to that post, but I think you are misreading or something, because if I or anybody else was talking crap about aixiz, I know I wouldn't have ordered two more of the SAME product from them.

And also, is it not okay to give a full review of a product? Or do reviews need to only include the good things about a product.

Sorry, but I'm just upset with your comment. If you are not talking about me, thats fine. But if you are, I did not down or dis aixiz in any way period, and me simply stating I ordered one of qume's lenses, how that is spam in any way shape or form, you tell me, but I'm at a loss here. Either I took your comment the wrong way, or you are mistaken in your notion.

Jake- sorry -I edited my post- I was meaning only about the supposition that AixiZ would send out the older lenses before the newer and better ones. And I was mistaken about whose thread this was.

ps AixiZ called me last night about the hacking of thier site so while I had them on the phone I asked about lenses sent out recently and they said that any sent out in the past week or so were the new version.

Okay thanks, I just wanted to clear that up, I was just saying I am in no way spamming or anything for any seller including aixiz, If i review something, or talk about my products in general, I will give the 110% truth, and the truth is aixiz is a phenomenal company, who I have no problem ever dealing with.
