Hello, I'm new from Europe.

I have two DX laser, they both works pretty well but the focusing lens are just crap, so I want to upgrade them with glass lens.

sku.11047
sku.11315

The romisen one have a 6,2mm plastic lens, I already removed it from the module
The dx 200 a 8,85mm x 6,50mm lens

I was considering the nova laser glass lens for the greeny and an aixiz glass lens for the DX200, what do you think?

Any suggestion about what lens to get and where to buy them?

Thanx for any help

the [link=www.aixiz.com]Aixiz[/link] glass lenses have always worked out great for me. they are $3 each but shipping is ~$5 so order a few so save on costs.

some have found power output gains of ~20mW or so....

On ebay I found the aixiz glass lens for 6$ shipped and the original lens for the same price, I asked the seller if the glass lens its AR coated but no reply yet, how well perform a clear glass lens vs an AR acrylic one? On other hand the plastic one get ruined pretty easily.

Anyone knows where I can get 6 - 6.5mm piano convex lens to fix my green laser?

The Aixiz glass lens is a 3-element lens in a brass housing, specifically made to thread in their modules. It is also AR coated for red. I really doubt any of the lenses would be of any use in a DX laser. Getting the lenses out of the brass housing intact has proven to be a daunting task also.

I have been on the lookout for a new lens for my DX150, so I'll be watching this thread also.

Ok! bought the Aixiz glass lens for the DX 200, this should improve a little my red burner.

For the 30mw green I'm about to get the 6mm glass lens Novalasers sells, unfortunately I can't post links due to the post count limit, I'll try both the piano convex and meniscus, I'm thinking to get their IR filter too

I found an AR coated 6mm diameter lens in a DVD burner I pulled to bits.  Straight swap for the DX collimation optics of which there are three.  Three optics must really eat into the power coupled out.  My single AR item is surely better though my powermeter doesn't go past 100mW so I can't report any exact numbers.

Edit: DVD burner was LH-20A1P BLACK

So to be clear, these are AR coated for 650nm?  I can't find mention of AR coating in the lens description.

Edit: Emailed Aixiz - apparently AR coated, three element as others have said.
