After dealing with sloppy threads on the Aixiz glass lens,
I decided a better U.S. machined assembly was required.

I hate the flimsy springs, and think they're dangerous with Red OC's w/ modern short FL lenses.

This machined assy has Class 3A threads...,
and tight tolerances for the lens mounting area.

Here is a photo of what I hope will be the new lens assembly standard:

I am offering these with the Hi-Power Lens.

By eliminating the spring, the aperture can be larger, increasing the power with Red OC's.

P.S. Thanks to MISTERWILLING for providing the high-tolerance machining under contract.

is there an insert that keeps the lens in place? also will these stick out as far as the aixiz lenses do?

Drew;

I can now assemble them with, or without the retaining ring.

Since they do not need the spring at all, the aperture can be wide open for the Red OC's.

That gives them more power output.

The length of the lens assembly is just slightly longer,
allowing the focus ring to stick out slightly more.

elitesniper;

Pricing is in the link below.

It is only $5 more than the standard Aixiz glass lens housing.

Nice work, what a great idea. It's great to see that Misterwilling is doing more work for the users here.

Yeah

I love this lens, turns my PHR into a beast. Beam is very tight, and this lens can be quickly focused from infinity to up close for burning. I can't wait to get a host for my 8x blu-ray so I can use this lens out with a more powerful diode.

I checked out the beam @ 14 feet on white projection screen with 8X . . .
and it looked good to me (1/8" hot spot - slight splash)

Hmmm Larry How much would 3 lenses cost? 2 Greens and one red.

and Do i need the housings?

Do your green lasers use Aixiz modules ?

The Aixiz lens assemblies are 9mm in diameter (0.355")

My Hi-Power lens assemblies are made to work with BR, Green and Red laser diodes in Aixiz modules (the most common).

themandalorian;

Misterwilling's aluminum host mounts the laser diode directly.

The front is machined to accept this lens assembly...
or in emergencies .....
an Aixiz lens assembly. :rolleyes:
