Just want a low divergence spotlight, the lower the divergence and the higher the power the better. I had not seen that video before and I've thought about doing the same thing myself, but I don't think I'd be using it where I could accidentally flash someone with it like he did when it went too low!

Edit: Can someone please help me understand those staggered diode positions in the photo of that block?

It allows you to knife and stack 4 beams like this-

The height spacing is critical and depends on the diode and lens used.
