Hi guys

Some of you may have read the problems ive had a with a 350mW rayfoss laser putting out lots of IR and not much 532nm , Rayfoss's "engineers" requested the specs of the IR filter i used saying it cut too much green, from what i can see from the datasheet (see attachment) it has a good 532nm pass rate. Could some of the vets with optical experience have a nose at the datasheet and see if its ok?

Cheers.

It will transmit 93.33-93.57% 532nm and block 99.78% 808nm and it's AR coated for 420-620nm so this filter is actually pretty good :)

Yes, I agree.
It's a good filter for blocking IR and passing 532nm.
When the filter is in place, take a power reading and divide that number by 0.93 and you will have the actual 532nm output power of the laser.

You can then subtract this number from the unfiltered output power eading to get the IR emission amount.

Yeah i worked it out, there was OVER 200mw of IR, with only 124mW of 532nm. Disgusting haha.
