Gold AR coating? Wavelength?

This looks a little like the gold colored AR coating I have on my Jetlasers 10X beam expander for 532nm, is that a very typical color for a AR coatings for use at that wavelength? Maybe this is something else, any ideas?

Normally I'd expect yellow to be for shorter wavelength like 445nm, but that may work fine for green too. Maybe they don't have any broadband coatings, and so they're just using the coating made for shorter wavelengths.

Humm... What I like about it is the input looks big enough for a multimode 520nm laser diode, but if the coating is for IR maybe not something I should make an offer on.

Don't the lenses for red and IR have a bluish color coating? I think Bionic is correct, it could well be a coating intended for 405nm or for the lower half of the spectrum.

I had to think for awhile, when I think of spectrum, lower means longer wavelength to me but you mean lower numbers which is higher spectrum. I have some IR BBAR coated lenses and they indeed are bluish tinted, so maybe this will work.

Sorry I wasn't thinking, you are right, I meant upper half of the spectrum (shorter wave length higher frequency). I would try it, it's probaly close enough.

Just from personal experience, red lasers/longer wavelengths tend to have blue/purple/pinkish AR coatings. Green lasers tend to have deep reddish AR coatings. A gold/yellow AR coating for UV, purple, and blue lasers would be my guess

yes The gold/tan coatings are better for 445/450/532/520nm. it will also work for 405nm but not as good as the others. i have some G2 that have a redish tint to them and work great for 445/450 532/520/ 405nm.

From what i been told the Gold/Tan AR coating is better for WL of 405nm to 415nm around there. It will work fine with 445nm,450nm but better for the above. Just my opinion Hope it helps pal.
