Sorry, newb question. I've seen Aixiz and others sell the generic module such as the one listed here. HighTechDealZ - Aixiz Laser Module - Blank However, there is no wavelength specification? Why is that? Is this good for 405nm - 1000nm?

Also, why is it when it comes to glass lenses that they are wavelength specific if these plastic acrylic ones aren't?

Well, those regular glass lenses are just regular glass with no AR coating so you can use them with pretty much any wavelength. There are specific glass/acrylic lenses with AR coatings that are specific to a range of wavelengths.

Anti-reflective coating helps reduce improves the beam output efficiency by reducing the amount of light lost or stray light.

Qumefox sells some AR coated acrylics for reds/IR and Aixiz has a whole bunch for sale. Jayrob and a few others sells the G1, G2.

If they're coated, they're usually coated for red (655nm). The lenses are also plastic.
