i live in newmarket. pretty small place. never seen teflon tape in any of my hardware stores

Crappy tire has it for 2-3$ A blue roll with a white tape.
You will find it at any location in the plumbing section...

Go to your local hardware or plumbing supply store and get some "teflon" tape. It is what plumbers use to seal pipes. Place a couple of wraps of the tape around the threads.

I second this method, it works well. Wrap it in the direction that is opposite to screwing the lens in, so the tape stays put.

ok well i didnt think of the plumbing area because i always thought tape was in hardware. sorry guys. no i am not a troll or a moron (that goes for you junkie). im just a failure :( sorry everyone
