I was finally able to convince someone to lend me their camcorder. The drawback is it's analog with no computer interface and a lot of converting was necessary to obtain what you see here.

But anywho, here's a video of my Zonestealth module for all the skeptics. I preferred DivX, but i hear a lot of complaining about this codec. So by popular demand, WMV it is.

It was just to prove it works and is outputting at spec. Many members here are skeptical of his products.

Cyparagon - I have tested two of his "high powered" modules in the past, and htey were BOTH under powered pieces of poop ! Now, on the GOOD...no, scratch that....the GREAT side - after learning that the modules were tested, and found to be lacking in output power, the seller DID agree to RMA the modules for a refund in both cases. At the very least, his customer service is really really good in my book - and I am hoping his end product has improved as well. If that is the case, then I cannot wait to welcome him to the ranks of preferred companies.

The only way to know it is within spec is to measure the output with a meter. A SenKat diode running at 160ma's can light a non-sharpied safety match instantly. Running at 160ma's it isn't putting out much more than 100mw's.

But that's at 3V. This module takes 5V. And even then, I tested it in the 200s. I believe it was 280mA, but I'm not sure.

You did give it a full 5V, right Senkat? I gave it 3.3 to begin with (3V-5V is listed as the operating voltage) and didn't get much more than 2mW. Even at 4.5V, it only puts out 130mW.

How do you know how many mw's it is putting out? Do you have a laser meter to measure the output with? Or are you confusing ma's with mw's?

If the current drawn was 280ma's at 5 volts, then it might be putting out close to 200mw's, but again the only way to be sure is to measure it with a laser meter.

I own a coherent laser check. The value upon startup is 194mW which over a period of 10 minutes or so climbs to 201mW.
