You're completely missing the main point of it showing a product made by someone of the forum, using it's trade name, and putting the maker and our forum in a bad light.

I couldn't care less if some guys burn themselves with a laser, that's there choice.

I've been a silent reader around here for quite a while and always wanted to make a proper introduction, but it will have to wait for a litlle bit longer. Sorry.


Instead I wanted to share a video which was uploaded to youtube just yesterday. (And no, I am not the author of it)

For me this is like the worst type of laser usage and a prime example for bad parenting:

OMG! Her Eyes!!

From what I know, a quick glance at a 5mw green does not do permanent damage. But this was quite a long exposure and the reflection from a balloons skin makes things even more unpredictable.

Also I'm not sure about the power. Does anyone recognize this laser and know sth about its real output? If its a cheapo the power could be anything between 1-100mW.
I'd just go with the feeling that anything which is strong enough to pop a balloon will surely damage your eyes if being handled like this.

If this guy has even stronger lasers at hand and lets her play around like this, she is in serious danger.
I am kind of cringing right now.

Maybe you guys have a different opinion on this?

Watch for the "Holy S***" at the end, from that I can tell her parents also swear a lot.

Guys if you can please flag that video.

The laser has to be at least 40mW, probably around 80-120mW in order to pop a balloon like that.

You have got to see this, this guy is obviously reckless and unfortunately he has a green laser. The video is 11:58 long, the laser part begins at 7:20, watch him shine it out the window.
