As you all might already know, I recently just completed my waterproof blu-ray laser build. All of these photo's and Video can be viewed on this thread, but I thought that this was cool enough to post in the Multimedia section.

That is pretty amazing - i figured the contact with the water would cool the baloon well enough to prevent this from happening... like what happens when boiling water in a paper cup: YouTube - Boiling Water in Paper Cup

I wonder if it has something to do with the short wavelength light and plastic.. do you have any waterproof red lasers to verify?

Thanks...I put food coloring in the balloon mixed with water so that it would sink.

When I had a red LOC in this host, I was able to pop balloons underwater with it too.

How is the beam is visible when in water?
The beam appears to your eyes as a bright blue beam and Yes...it is very visible underwater. It's rather shocking. I think it's even more visible than the red was.

If you look at the first picture that has the lights on....that is the way the beam looks
