Rawr. I'm a bit disappointed, i bought modules from aixiz, and after wait a LONG time i finally got them (kind of defeated the purpose of me buying priority mail too)

anyways.....i was about to set a diode and look what i found! the diode didn't even come close to fitting because the lathe work was never finished!

on the left: completely useless module.
on the right....a regular module

I think maybe they are waiting on their supplier(s), and sending out the last of what they have?

I wrote an email to Mr. Miracle a few days ago, I am still waiting for a response.. and for a few hundred pieces at that :-/

That's messed up - I literally just placed an order of 20 of them! Can you PM me back or post on here when you get this sorted, just in case?

Were they all like that or just that one? I am really paranoid now as I just ordered some last week.

The AixiZ modules have always had the occasional unfinished unit included. Remember, AixiZ doesn't make these. They are made in a factory in some third world country for pennies. When one is simply counting out "pieces", the occasional faulty module will get through. I most certainly do NOT have quantitative data to support this statement, but it does NOT appear that there has been any significant increase in the incidence of bad modules. I have one in my bag right now that I will have to "glue" a low powered diode in because the hole is too large for a press fit. Even with that in my bag, I ordered 10 more today.

Peace,
dave

I got 10 off Ebay and all the pieces came separately in a bag, kinda worried me a lens might get scratched or something, but none that I've noticed yet. Also the module heads and backs didn't all fit properly. I tried to match some best I could, but not all did... at least I don't use the back in most cases.

I have never had a problem with these modules. in fact one time I ordered 20 and they were out of stock (even though they had an ebay listing up) and then when they came back in stock they sent me 40!

it's not the mess up that really bothers me, it's the fact that if i send them a message about it, they never acknowledge me.

of course, i just placed an order for more....
but i don't like the fact that they have just horrible customer service, i've spent $140 at aixiz.com in the last 2 weeks...if i had someone spending that much i would definiately keep in contact, and try my best to keep him happy.

customer service is almost as important as the product in my book.....maybe others feel differently.

I do have the quantitative data (I've handled about 2000 now), and you are correct Dave. It seems like about every 20-30 modules I'll find one that either the back cover won't screw on, or the threads in the head piece weren't done correctly preventing the lens from screwing in, or the front focusing knob wasn't done correctly and won't screw onto the lens, or even sometimes the back cover has been a full 1 inch short, I've found about 3 of these short ones.

I think their slow customer service (understandably, I bet they get 100's of emails a day) is a reason why so many people buy the modules on my site as well, not to mention I ship out every other business day... (also I don't ship modules that don't fit together correctly)

thanks,
Kendall
