Burrrrr!
Yes, yes, everyone is probably tired of all the hype on social media about the snow. Here where I am in Maine we have about 2 feet and its still coming. Despite the title the snow is really nothing out of the ordinary.

Without further ado here are a few shots taken with my iPhone.
First my 1W 520.

The 462. NDB7675 driven at 2.2A

Duel 3.5W diode NDB7A75 build.
Note: I cleared the porch off.

Thanks for looking!

Badass! I love the 3.5w snow pics! Looks like it lit up the whole area!

Thanks 10fenny,
My guess is that laser is putting out 8+ watts. I haven't had it metered yet. The optics are inside a blue plastic shroud. The PBS cube and mirror give off a lot of light. All that snow is reflective also!

It certainly feels that way sinner, the snow in the air is very dense. Sweeping the laser across the sky is very cool :)
As in many pictures the difference between the two blues is much more apparent in person.

Did you try the 520nm at the same time as the dual 3.5? Because of the PBS cube and Mirror I think it would make it hard to compare their brightness. The side spill would trick your mind into thinking it's brighter maybe although maybe it actually is. Is the 520nm a 1W diode and is actually putting out 1.5W like mine?
Love the vortex kind of look in a couple pics. Understand having to explain over and over how the 462nm is quite different from a 445nm. According to what DTR shows the M462 actually tests right at 464nm although I don't know if the diode was pushed.

Regarding the "1W green" I had DTR set the driver conservatively. IIRC. The laser actually meters just a hair over 1.1W. I bought the diode a while ago before there was alot of testing so I didn't push it.
If you're getting 1.5W that's insane.
As far a brightness going I would have to say the green lit up the sky better(the beam color visibility) but that duel build was very much impressive because the divergence.

It reflected MORE particulate snow in the air because of that poor divergence if that makes sense.

Yeah, got it. I bought mine with a G-2 lens like I always do (except for my second M462 that is coming in a 510 adapter with 3-element since I have so many G-2 lenses now). Have changed out almost all my high powered units with 3-elements for obvious reasons. Easy enough to switch back out for max power if i want.
