Smoke and mirrors - 445 and 650

A few of the better pics from tonight's session, very simple toys, mirrors on motors, ~750mW 445nm, ~250mW 650nm.

Those pics are great! the first one looks awesome. The 445 reeally looks good with the different hues comming out. Makes me want to get one even more now for my spyrograph.

Nice pictures! The 445nm looks amazing, I can't believe I still don't have one. What's the power of the green one?

The green is my 95mW DL Viper, but it's currently mounted in my spirograph thing, and bounces off 4 mirrors there, mirrors which could really do with a clean! Green is next on the agenda - I'm shopping around for green modules with good beam properties - adjustable focus preferably. I'll probably just go with o-like and request that they don't glue the focus ring.

Nice job! Yeah, I really like the tunnel effect. One thing I would suggest, is that if spectators are watching, keep the motors spinning at a very high rate. Also, the wider the angle will be less hazardous to look into. An extreme situation is to imagine a 200mw beam of any wavelength in a tight circle pointing towards your face, and spinning at 10 rotations per minute. The same 200mw beam at a wide angle and 500rpm will rarely put any hits of high intensity, when looking into the vortex. I imagine you were doing camera work in a safe manner though. Just my 2 cents
