I need to see if I can get a shirt though

When I dislocated both of my shoulders at Christmas, I was wearing my SELEM shirt

The ER nurse cut the shirt off of me to treat me

I saved the embroidery, but the rest of the shirt was a loss

sorry to find that funny but it has happened to a friend and a very expensive article of clothing and she freaked when the scissors came out..

and on 'Cops' IIRC a girl with long hair was pinned under a roll over and her hair had to be cut to get her out-- same thing- she was more concerned about her hair than getting freed.


hope the shoulder has healed and we will miss you at SELEM..

It was awesome meeting you last year because you share both by interests Lasers and rocks. Maybe if you come it will motivate me to find a way to make it because its looking more and more like I wont make it this year.

Hey Dave, very sorry to hear that. I happen to have an unused 2X SELEM 2011 shirt, if it's your size PM me your address an it's yours. If not, my mother was the person that embroidered all the shirts for the past 5 SELEM's, she might be able to make another one. She's not making the shirts this year, after having to make over 80 last year and with the embroidery machine breaking twice, we figured it was time to pass this project on to someone else. I don't think her embroidery machine was really designed for that kind of workload! Anyway, hope things change and you are able to make it this year!

... PS someone post some pictures from last year.

Don't have any pics from last year, but how about some pics of the main graphics projector for this year?!?! We will be feeding this hungry projector with 6W of whitelight from a Coherent ION via a fiber cable.

I think Charlotte has the closest airport, if you fly in there Newton is about 50 miles away.

Some of you already know I want to be there since it is a three hour drive for me. A lot of it has to do with my job situation at the time though. There is a small project I'm working on with some stuff I bought at SELEM last year. It might not be fully complete but it should be in a working state. The materials to build the enclosure should be arriving soon. Dr Lava just needs to hurry of with those drivers. I need some for red and 532. Here's some videos I took last year.







The audio goes out about halfway through this video for some reason. It has something to do with youtube because the video recording works fine.

Hopefully next year I'll have something important and different to bring, if I end up going. I'm always looking around for weird stuff at yard sales and various thrift shops on my travels (though mostly for records), not to mention searching the internet... I like the idea of orange specifically...
