If only they were something cool......like Saik hosts or something.

These are all the hotlights that are left. I bought out my source and they arrived today. I actually bought more than they had and they made up for it with the other hosts. The green one is about the same quality...
the small blue isn't too bad, but everything is fed in from the top. So the heat sink would have to be press fit into the front of the host. I will probably make big sinks that extend out of the front with fins and stuff. make it 18650 compatible....

I so dont envy you if you have to manually machine all the heatsinks without the help of a CNC.

No worries, by now he can do it while he's sleeping.:D:D

by now your more likely to find me sleeping than making heat sinks

it will take me ~60 hours to make those heat sinks (for the blue hotlight)

I will most likely do away with the polishing....that eats up SSOO much time...
if i don't polish them, i can probably knock off 6+ hours off that total time, plus the bulk of them i sell for $7.50 or so and it really isn't worth it to polish them.
I think i'll buy the aluminum, and make all of them at once.....just get it over with. then i can have all ~220 of them on hand and ready to be shipped.
crap i didn't realize i had >200 of them....i was thinking of only having to make 100.....

Combine forces Moh? I can make the sinks if you can drill and tap the set screw.

heh, but hiring a cnc costs too much :( I'd have to raise the prices on them.

the worst part is turning the 1-1/8" aluminum stock to 1.09", and then cutting out the individual pieces to .60" long on a portable band saw...
they are soo crooked and far off i spend a ton of time facing them off to the right length.

might be interested in seeing how much to get the 1.09"x.60" pieces would cost...for 200 of them.
I know you've got that automatic band saw as well :D

I'll have some picture available real soon. I'm making the heat sinks for them right now. The the heatsink in these will be the same as the blue hot lights sink but a little bit longer.

Actually a green module should fit quite well with a cr2 or cr123 battery....this green host is a rear clicky as well....

I'll probably add the thread tonight, but they won't be ready for shipping until probably monday.

I'm going to make the 20 sinks for these green hosts along with 20 blue hotlight sinks to hold me over. Pontiac is going to hook me up with 150 sinks that are already cut to the right length and OD, so i've just go to drill the center hole and add the set screw.

Matt, you're going to be eating flashlights for breakfast for a month with all those. Good luck with all your orders!
