where did you get it from? do they come in 16mm film projectors?

They come from digital projectors and they are real nice :cool:

Or you could buy this one for 35$ shipped.

Are these things suitable as RGB beam combiners too?

I would think so , but it's rather big for anything handheld. :-/

It is... but it would be fine for RGB show/projector like setup. I wonder if it actually has the optical qualities to make that work (considering the $100 or so you'd normally pay for 2 beamcombining dichros).

Perhaps its nice to try with a red and green laser to see how well it works and how much light passes to undesireable output faces.

these are not good for RGB beam combining, these work perfectly for what they were designed for...LCD projectors.

Yeah laserman532 is right there no very efficient but they will still combine beams.
