They are air conditioned :) or, heat if it gets cold, like it does at night here now, but in the day time, that air is really needed to keep them cool. See all of the electrical cables running in front of them, each tent has its own conditioner.

We are on a new thread page now, came back to edit this photo in, really great :)

They didn't have AC... we have it good. Don't tell anyone about this:

I won't admit to having it.

To get up to high speeds the three banger does require winding up a fair bit, but unless everyone in Germany drives like an absolute lunatic I'm not sure why you had to redline it. The power comes and goes by that point anyway. I've had no problem merging into motorway traffic with my VW's three banger, which is possibly even less powerful than the one in the Polo as that's bigger than my car.

Of course, UK traffic could be a lot more tame then German traffic - but as you are from the American market, which generally favours much more powerful engines, it probably just seemed overly weak in comparison. If they were truly dangerous they wouldn't be sold, and that's coming from someone who did a substantial stint of motorway (at 70 - just!!) in a Citroen 2cv!

Don't forget Germany has the autobahn. I very rarely ran across someone doing less than 130. The 4x4 truck I had would go faster than the VW and it weighed a lot more. I think the transmission gearing was part of the problem.

Oh, they are sooo CUTE!
And what a wonderful and proud mom they have!

Please Andrew, give her a crisp slice of bacon from me, will ya? She is definitely deserve it!

I've been missing a Dog friend since my best friend and valuable member of our family passed away in April (in age of 15).

Here's Max is giving my wife some snow exercise >> Who is walking who??!
I will certainly give her a nice crisp bacon slice for you my friend, she certainly deserves it, it's her first litter and she was huge just prior to giving birth.
Poor thing, she was waddling around and could barely scratch her self.

I'll try and get some updated shots soon.

I'm so sorry to hear about Max, it's such a difficult time when you loose a pet that's so close to you.
Beautiful Dog. :cryyy:

Wow, nice photo's, very nice and oh so many puppies, what are you going to do with them? So many.
The kids have been looking after them meticulously and they will be sold to responsible families that want to buy them.

RB, Oh My:eek: Look at the little chubby one with the 4 black spot's right smack in the middle where the feeding is good:)
So cute huh Pete?
I'll get some updated shots for you.
They follow me around in the back yard now, so playful, I wish we could keep them all. :gh:

hahaha that's unreal mate.
I've never had one of those.
The closest I come to that is that I make my own wine each year.
We have two big 350 litre wooden oak barrels that we store our nice home made red wine in.

Hey Alaskan

Would you do me a favor? Could you take few pictures of "Original" Afghan Hound, while you are over there?! I mean, if you accidentally catch up or see these dogs.

I think Local people call this breed as Tazi / Bakhmull Tazi.

Our previous dog was a Afghan Hound, my wife and I would loved to see this breed on it's natural habitat. I also would be interested to see how much Europeans have been breeding "unwanted" characteristics for these dogs.

For me, this breed is sight hunting dog, which can hunt a pray for me and for him self just by running. This breed is well known for its skills for an independent decisions while hunting. I just can't tolerate to see a Afghan Hounds to take to dog shows only.

So, If you see an "Original" Afghan Hound while you are there. Please please would you take few pictures for me?!

That would be a Huge favor!!

I do travel through the territory, but I don't see dogs, not yet. If I do, I will be happy to do so, but we are not permitted to stop anywhere along the way, so not likely I will be able to, even if I do see one outside the vehicle. I'm flying to another location tomorrow instead of driving.

Wow Alaskan, you are going to feel so good when you get home and have your own bedroom door, and a king size bed, with your wife there too, you're going to feel like a King, and your lady a Queen with all your attention. ;)

***WARNING***LARGE IMAGES***

Hey, haven't been around that often as I find I may be drifting from the hobby, I've kinda been settling into photography now. But no worries friends, I won't go far :)
Here's some photos I've taken that I don't think I've shared here before:
Here was my first try at high speed photography, also with a lil bit of macro style too:

Here's my VERY amateur first try at Milky Way photography, My camera isn't the best with low light, and despite my best efforts it's really noisy. But hey, at least you can see it.
t9fEscd.jpg

Here was my next attempt at high speed photography, more interesting stuff this time. Ball bearing thrown with a slingshot through a coke bottle, quarter millisecond exposure is the fastest my camera will do.
gMOdYCH.jpg

Now some more Northern lights, this one is more of a nice glow with a mix of soft colours:
mH5HnLC.jpg

And the peak of the storm, I love how this one almost looks shopped:
6qsK4S1.jpg

And this is a composite of two of my photos, both in Edmonton. It's how I would imagine the city to be if there wasn't light pollution :)
BhnlbFa.jpg

A quick but surprisingly difficult long exposure of a lighter:
10xeDvG.jpg

Here are some long exposures I did with a friend, the background is just me moving an LED strip around.
q9Qb6yT.jpg

9PAFdf7.jpg

Here's a tree line that I like, it would make for a good background. Kinda looks like an oil painting.
AVpPPCS.jpg

And finally some more water droplet splashes, sorta looks like oil or coffee. This was in much shallower water than before, so different patterns and complexity.

And finally here's an album with the original 24 megapixel images PLUS some bonus images, if you can handle it that is: Recet images - Album on Imgur

Nice pictures Gabe! You may want to resize them as they are very large though :undecided:

I do like the water one, the first one :D

Thank you! Sorry again about that, I always have the forum in Responsive LPF theme so I forget resizing is a thing. I'll see if I can find an easy way to do it.

I love the second water image near the bottom of your post. It weirdly reminded me of a Tudor rose (kind of). I always love seeing Aurora images, simply because I want to see one. And lastly nice LED images by the way. +rep from me. :)
