Well, that would be a lack of all colours, where everything is the same shade. Seeing in black and white, or monochrome, if you will. There is a man who was born fully colourblind, and sees in monochrome. He had an antenna surgically attached into his brain that extends out to over his forehead. It converts colour into sound for him,me here red gives a different tone than blue, so he can essentially hear colours. I think he's the first government-recognized cyborg too.

There are also people that see colors when they hear a sound, different tones or sounds make them see a different color, I forget what the condition is called, it's not real common.

Synthesia. Quote: "...is a neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway." Thanks for reminding me, I did some reading on it a while back but forgot about it.

Beginning plans for a knife edge, trying to figure out just how much room do I really need for four diodes, 3" W X 4" L seems plenty enough to allow some added optics as well as more space between the mirror mounts and diode blocks with offsets to allow the beams to pass through. Maybe can go to as small as 2.75" wide:

I worked with a guy that is semi color blind. It sucked when he had to make network cables where the wire coloring wasn't dark. The for colors used are blue, brown, orange and green. He had a problem figuring out the brown and orange if they colors weren't dark enough.

Now to keep the topic or track, I'll release the kraken.

6 Digit IV-13 Numitron RTC Clock , One of the largest numitrons around .

Uses a PDIP atmega with Arduino bootloader on and 6 6B595 Shift registers that sit behind the displays , DS3231 RTC

Will be cased up in black aluminium box .
