In my never ending quest to colour mix using red and green to make yellow, I turned the green right down by accident and found a lovely orange colour. red is about 200mw, and green is about 20mw, before the dichro. The percieved colour is about 600-620nm.

This was a real pain to set up, as I had to direct the beam into my xy scanner.

very neat color, i would perfer that over the often yellow/orange color that is seen when combining red/green

I watched him on the webcam while he set it all up, was really nice in the end esp[ecially with the scanned image on the wall :cool:

Whow Jase, the colour off that beam is simply amazing. That must look so beautiful in real life. Were can u get these dichro mirrorrs?
Respect on the setup man, i don't have the patience nor the fine motoric skills to set up something like that, real nice work man.

Hadn't really been all that excited about orange/yellow beams till I saw these images... gorgeous.

that is a nice, warm colour! Man, I still dream of mounting red/green into one housing with two dials to choose colour in between...better even RGB with three dials.
Need to build that!

Question though, you have that glass cube where the green and red go int at a right angle. When they come out of it, they are still separated. Then they get into the second optical device, and abracadabra, it's orange. What is the second thingus?

The beams weren't aligned properly in that photo. The fist "cube" is the piece that makes orange, and the second piece is the one that scans the beam.
