Here is a 445nm laser built into a tiny Pailide host:

This was originally a PHR build, but I couldn't help myself from building a 445nm handheld. I originally wasn't planning on making a high powered blue build, but oh well I changed my mind.

I was originally going to make a video for Mohrenberg to promote these (he made these kits), but he discontinued the kits after a connection problem was found so I never could make that video for him.

With such a small host, duty cycles are really short, and so is the battery life on a single 14500.

Its always nice to hear that clicky switch.
Be safe and wrap something on the mirror.. cough cough reflection

I love the beamshot, they are so nice and thin.
Do you have photos of the host?

That's a good looking host. Nice little build.
How come the 200mW red seems so bright in this video?

I'll upload some pics later. I have goggles on for the video so I'm safe with the mirror.

Driver is flexdrive v4 set somewhere around an amp. Diode is A140. Don't know actual power, don't have a meter. :(

Auto white balance was probably off with the super bright blue laser messing with my camera.

Damn! I'm surprised a 14500 can even supply over an amp of current and still keep the voltage up. Very cool!

I should have my CR123 build done soon. I can't wait!
