Hi I hope I'm doing this right, inserting an image here. First time. What I wanted to know is if anyone knows what kind of laser this would be. Its coming right through my loungeroom window. As yet I don't know hardly anything about them,  :p (slowly learning) besides they burn your eyes, etc.  I really would be most grateful of any help with this.  Feel a bit silly asking as I realise that nearly everyone on the forum has at least the basic knowledge. Thanks.

If thats bothering you and could potentialy hurt you or someone in your family then call the cops.
If it were me I would make sure it was someone I didn't know first if I knew them I would return the favor with My 200mW greenie. ;)

Even if it's someone he knows... The guy with the Laser is obviously an idiot with
no clue as to the potential harm he could be inflicting on others.
That Moron is very well aware of where he is intentionally pointing his laser...
It's not by accident...

Well... let's give the authorities another reason to ban hand held lasers.... :mad:

@jander6442.... not too bright.... antagonizing a laser moron with a 200mW Greenie....
maybe he has a 10 watt focused IR that he's just itching to use on you and the laser in the pic is
just a targeting laser... ::)

BTW...weren't you the same guy that made a post with the words "Laser" and "President"
in it.... or something along those lines... :-?

Thank you so much for your replies. Yes its being shone through the loungeroom window, its daytime. I have been burnt in the eyes a couple of times and on the head many, and my dog also. Its a stalker. I reported it to the police and they referred mental health to ME. I have woken many times with a numb head or neck. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind it was? I know another lady like myself who I think is having the same problem. This is why I am trying to learn about them, and what kind of safety precautions I can do to protect us a bit. If any. :) Thanks guys.

You need to find out where it's coming from and phone the police out

In the meanwhile, close the curtains or something. Also could we have a clearer picture ?

Can you track the beam back to a source?
If you gave the police more specifics, i'm sure they could do more.

You are probably imagining the pain in your head and neck. It would take a helluva lot of power to inflict a serious injury with brief exposure. Also, the laser appears red, and at long wavelengths, your skin will reflect or pass most of the light, so your skin will not likely be burned.
Your eyes, however, can be damaged.

It's most likely some stupid teenage kid who saw lasers on a youtube video and has no common sense.
Next time look out the window and catch the sucker doing it.
The police are lazy and inefficient, for the most part, so don't expect much help from them.

That looks like its awfully close.. The beam looks nice and crisp still... Id start with across the street ;)
