My Take On The Guidesman Host/Heatsink

I got two of these flashlights at menards today because they were only $.99 :drool: so I could not pass them up. However since other members already make these into kits I thought I would atleast make the design my own

Looks like a normal Guidesman you say?

I am a big fan of driver heatsinking so I added (or more literally subtracted) this







Fits even the slightly thicker Jib driver in either orientation







There is lots of room to run your wires to the switch and to the diode



Between that and this little pocket build

Kind of reminds me of the green P60 dropin I made a while back.

Thats quite cool as well. I hadnt seen anyone else do this but it works great doesnt it? I hate trying to get the driver sinked using scraps of metal or excessive thermal epoxy.

Probably two of them actually. I have to go back to menards and return the second one because the two pieces that are supposed to be pressed together....arnt. So when I get the new one ill probably make another heatsink like this or maybe try something else. I dont have a plan for them so im open to offers
