the laser needs 5-6V to operate, so the LEDS will drain too much power ....

All right seriously, I don't know who the hell I'm talking to, it's annoying and VERY confusing.

Trust me, the LEDs won't effect anything. Just set them to 10mA and the battery wont even know that they are there. It's nothing.

The laser's voltage doesn't mean a thing because you connect the LEDs in parallel.

the soldering is doing my head in :mad: The wires quite clearly dont want to stay on . I'll give it another try in 5 anyway

Got it all working, now all I need to wait for is the laser .

Hey it works! [smiley=evil.gif]

But I would do it so the keyswitch has to be activated first.
That makes more sense because nothing can be activated before the key is turned.

Well the fan turns on with the key switch, but the laser will be dependant on both, so both must be switched to on before the laser starts lasing.

Just need to wait for the laser .
