Hi,

This is my first beam shot picture. It was not easy to take this photo since I've never took laser pictures. The camera was the Canon SX10IS. The lasers used, a >650mw 405nm, a 1.5W 445nm and a >100mw 473nm that I bought from Yobresal (a very nice one).

Its very hard to get the 445/473 colors right, the colors are very different, but in the picture they seem quite close.

Anyway, its my first picture. :)

That turned out well!
You must have been patient to get the exposure properly balanced to effectively reproduce the colors.

Very cool! I'm envious of your 100 mW 473 nm.... very nice!

Thank you guys. :)

DJNY, thank you for Ava (CNI) contact, I'm about to get the new 100mw 589nm, Ava told me that some units are going beyond 160mw. But it is expensive, so I need to convince myself. :)

:gj: Very vell balanced colors. Anyone who's tried taking beamshots know how difficult it is to get them to look like they do to your eyes. This is ESPECIALLY true when comparing 3 "blue" range colors in the same photo. I am saving this pic for future reference of the diff between the 400's nm range.:) +1!

Thanks. :)

Just to clarify, this is my first photo of lasers, but to get this picture "right" (not exactly right because 445 1.6W power, just too much) I had to test many camera settings. :)

Great, I´m sure she is able to provide a very good one, I´ll have a serious talk with her later :D

More than 100mW of 589nm should be awesome, but yes the price is very high. If you have the cash, I suggest "go for it". Otherwise wait a bit for the price coming down (like me) or go for a lower output. In the meantime you can enjoy your other nice lasers.

Make sure to post some cool beamshots when you get your 600mW PL-C!

BTW, do you have a Laserpowermeter yet?

I'm going next week for a >150mw 589nm PL-C. Will make a good review later. I think I will receive the 600mw PL-C next week, can't wait :)

I'm about to get a LPM :)

Cheers!

Nice!

Your collection is growing damn fast :)

Did you get any further informations according the 300mW PGL-III-M-640nm?

Only that the output is 100mw. They say it can go up to 200mw, but it's not guaranteed, so they sell it as being 100mw.

Strange. Dragonlasers had the 300mW one a while back. Produced by CNI...

WAY TO GO GIRL !
I see you are jumping in with both feet :D
Here's a tip don't worry about the 589 just do it ! when you get it you will NOT be sorry !!!
If you don't like it I will buy it from you as long as it's operation is stable and working correctly.
Have fun where ever you are :)

Look at the e-mail Frank from Dragonlasers sent me about the 640nm 15 days ago.

Hi Regina,

We advertise that laser as 100mW which means that the average power will be at least 100mW. The actual average power can vary from 100mW to 300mW with most lasers having an average power in the 130-160mW range.

The reason we can’t advertise the exact power is because power depends on the quality of the diode used in the laser and the purity of crystals. No two lasers have the exact same diode or laser so each laser will have a different power. The exact power you end up with depends on luck. If you are very unlucky, you will end up with a laser that has an average power around 105-110nm. If you are lucky, you get a laser with over 200mW of power.

Cheers
