For these pics I used an 8" Plasma Globe and my LK-PD2 and Casa CTL-HM. These pics were actually taken about a month ago but I never posted them. They are very similar to last weeks pics except the plasma globe was turned on for all of these pics. After these were taken I got the bright idea to take some with the globe turned off, which were posted last week. I do not know which pics I like more, the pics with the globe turned on or turned off. I do know both variations look nice, but different. One thing I do know is that my camera (or me when in manual focus mode) focuses better with the globe turned on. I think this weekend I will shoot a set taken with the plasma globe, diffraction gratings, and hand helds, unless I decide on something else. Enjoy.

I don't want to sound bold again but the originality of new laser effects combined with some older concepts on this forum is really getting more and more boring for the last years,... I wonder why,. :D

Normally I try to come up with words that would reflect at least partially the display of what's been shown over and over again in the "above standard laser beam/objects photography" delivered by you, brucemir. But instead I'd rather remain silent and simply enjoy the pure power of what I shall call this time "theatre royal of laser art".

Nice. inventive idea using the globe.
How do laser projectors work? Do they move the image around constantly like in a club scene or do you set it like that and it stays still for photography?

Thanks everyone!

Trencheel303- when my projectors are hooked up to a DMX controller, all the functions of the projectors can be manipulated, such as pattern, pattern size , color, XY axis, 3D, diffraction, etc. There are so many parameters that can be controlled. For my photography I find a nice pattern, and as you correctly stated, I can freeze the pattern and make it still. Or I can have it move and get a "Spirograph" effect. But I personally like freezing the action more than having it move. When the projection is still it is also much safer as the beams are in a fixed position and I can safely move around. The possibilities that can be had with a DMX controller and projector are endless.
