The first couple of videos are uploaded at the request of bobhaha. I was at his place today showing him my magnetic putty and decided to do a time lapse of the putty. Each of the time lapses are done over about 30 - 40 mins

My bro recently received this for his birthday present so I flew it and got him the video it

And since this is a laser forum here is the obligatory lighting a match but the "hard way"
I had a bit of trouble with the first match and a different bit of trouble with the second match. Yes I was wearing my safety goggles =D Skip to 30 seconds to see the first match light up

It was on Catch of the day .com but i think you can find it on ebay. Let me check

Link to ebay

I paid about $15 inc shipping so its a little more expensive from overseas but then again it is one deal a day. If it ever does pop back up on catch i'll post it here for all those aussies that are interested

I believe you can make that putty with some copy machine toner and regular silly putty. Does it turn your fingers black?

That's some awesome videos! Looks good man!

@jeffreythe00 no it doesn't. It seems to be a non-newtonian fluid with suspended ferrous metals in it.

hmmm I wonder if you could make something similar with corn starch. Mix in some tiny metal shavings or some copier toner. Corn starch is weird stuff man.

As bobhaha said, it doesn't turn your fingers black

I was wondering this myself at one stage. If i leave the putty with the magnet alone for a couple of days the material turns white-ish and you can see the metallic particles group up allowing you to see the magnetic field lines! Its a pretty cool effect and I'll post a pic of it. But that means I can't play with it for a few days haha

Kool vids magnetic putty looks like the blob:gj:

Like the blob in slow motion! I think I'll increase the FPS and number of images taken for a more fluid looking video

So I haven't touched this in a while and this is the result! All the metal parts have been pulled down to the bottom. Its really cool that you can see the metal align itself in straight lines

Yes and no =P

Yes you can use your iFail devices but they released an android app for it as well so I was using my HTC desire HD.

I also just received an upgrade battery that I bought a couple of weeks ago. It has a run time of about 15-20 mins on 1 charge which takes 90 mins to charge haha
