Hey Guys,

So I'm sure most of you have seen the fad going around the internet of Light Painting. Most people use LED Lights and Glow Sticks, but as many of you know, Lasers work great too! So I did some photos, and I'm looking forward to trying more with different colours (and more people.) Here's some photos...

We're going to be adding more photos to our Flickr page if you want to check that out, there's already a selection of photos uploaded.

I'd love to read your comments, and if you have any suggestions for more photos let me know! ;D

Oh yes, I do have one suggestion. Make a section on your site so people can see other peoples submitted videos/pictures! :D

setup a digital camera, set it to manual exposure and crank up the exposure time to 10-30 seconds ore more and start drawing with the laser.

Yup, that's how you do it. But for a couple of photos above I used a modified Diffraction Grating to create a glow from my Laser Pointer that I used as a brush to paint images. But using just the laser beams creates an awesome and very different effect like the bottom photo. If you have a manual camera you should definitely give it a try.

Thanks for the comments everyone! ;D

I've yet to try this painting lark I know you need at least 7secs exposure time to do this and obviously it must be done whilst it's dark....
